Cellular Reprogramming and Cancer Progression meet Network Biology

Cells acquire transcriptional programs and genome-wide epigenetic marks during development that ensure cellular identity during mitosis and under exposure to environmental stress. Cellular reprogramming allows the reversal of cell identity and the re-establishment of developmental potency or acquisition of a novel cell fate. The unrevealing of mechanisms governing cell identity and reprogramming is a central goal in biology. Our research group applies genomics, CRISPR technologies, and network biology to dissect cellular reprogramming by nuclear transfer and defined factors.
